What are the two things that everyone looks forward to when it comes to Super Bowl - the commercials and the food. So, with Super Bowl less than a week away, it's time to start planning the menu. Here are some fun food and dessert options to serve on game day.

Tee Time

The other day, we were asked if it would be possible to create a golf-themed birthday party without breaking the bank. Of course, that's easy! There are a ton of things you can do yourself - all you need is a little time and imagination...

1st - Save money by send an e-invitation from sites such as evite.com, pingg.com, or punchbowl.com.

2nd - Make your menu simple by serving "club" sandwiches, "green" salad, "chip" shots, etc. You can dress up your food or table by using different colored tissue paper, golf balls, and tees. You can also make note cards to call out your themed style menu. Check these note cards from How Does She.com

3rd - Make your own cake. It might take a little bit of time, but making a homemade cake will save you money (and might even taste better). Check out this simple recipe from Love and Olive Oil.

And that's it. These three elements is all you need to throw a simple golf-themed birthday party.

Jumping For Joy

Sorry for being MIA lately... it's been a crazy couple of weeks. While everyone was winding down and enjoying the holiday, we were crazy busy - tis the season! Don't get us wrong, we are not complaining; we love this time of year, making sure everyone has exactly what they need for the perfect holiday. 

Secondly, let us WELCOME you to 2013: a year full of great new beginnings. Speaking of beginnings... we are extremely excited to be planning one of our best friend's weddings. Yes, she go engaged over New Years and can't wait to start her new life with her future husband. We couldn't wait to start planning her wedding, and since we have this in our blood, we started researching right away. During our search, we came across this super cute pic by Brad Ross Photography. This is a must-take picture on the big day.

Glamorous New Years Eve Party- Linkup

For our last December linkup, what better way to bring in the New Year than with a Glamorous New Years Eve Party!  

I chose this peplum dress because it can be worn for many different occasions.  I'm all about getting double and triple use out of items.  Dress it up or down and for $80 from Zara, this is def a winner!  I found these fun lace booties from The Loft and something about them screams sexy/fun.  I'm loving charcoal and mint together, the dark background really makes the jewelry pop. Add a smokey eye with some light sparkle (age appropriate) and you will be the HOT hostess that everyone wonders... "How does she do it?"

Side note: You can even wear this dress to work, add a blazer and tights and work appropriate booties and statement necklace, G2G! (good to go).

This week's linkup, we're talking about what to wear Xmas day.  In my family, we either get together later in the day, or the following weekend. 

I'm starting to be ok with black and brown together.  At first, I wasn't into it, but it's starting to grow on me.  Xmas red studs and hobo bag and your instantly festive.  If you're doing a lot of eating, leggings are your best bet.  You don't have to wear a sweater dress, pick an oversized T and long cardigan for an even more comfy look.  

Xmas is in 4 days!!!!! crazy!  Where did December go!?!
